Spanish – Intermediate Level

OBJECTIVES

This course was conceived for those who can express themselves in Spanish, but in a limited manner, and who wish to improve their knowledge. The intermediate level participants can adequately use, both orally and in writing, verbs conjugated in the present, past and future. Also, they are able to correctly use the negative and interrogative forms of some verbs.

At the end of the course, the participants will be able to:

  • Understand the essential points when a clear and concise language is used, as well as when discussing common things about work, leisure, etc.
  • For the majority of situations, get by while traveling in an area where the target language is spoken
  • Simply and coherently discuss common subjects and those in your field of interest
  • Recount an event or experience
  • Describe a hope or a goal and briefly discuss the reasons or explanations for a project or idea

The participants will communicate in their personal fields of interest. They will work on comprehending oral conversations on various subjects as well as writing. Reading a short story or excerpts of texts is part of the program.

A placement test is suggested before registering for a course (exception: having taken and passed the prerequisite course).

 

PREREQUISITE

Having taken the advanced beginner level course or having passed the placement test.

    • Direct and indirect discourse in the past with verbs
